Rev. Dr. Eric Finsand
pastoreric@ctslutheran.org

Pastor Eric came to Christ the Servant in August of 2009. He makes Bellingham his home with wife Chris and boys Simon and Andrew.

His journey to Bellingham has taken him many places; early childhood in South Dakota, High School years in Tucson, College in Los Angeles, youth Ministry Internships in the Seattle area, missionary service as a lay person and as a Pastor in Japan, and pastorates in western and southeastern Minnesota. His seminary journey included his M.Div. at Luther Northwestern in St. Paul, and a D.Min. in Homiletics at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago.

Pastor Eric feels priviledged to serve at Christ the Servant - as a partner in ministry with so many gifted and giving members of this part of the body of Christ. He especially loves preaching and leading worship, teaching adults and kids, visitation and conversation in moments of crisis or transistion, and working with individuals and groups within the Church to match gifts and abilities with opportunities for ministry.

Pastor Phil

Intern Pastor

In the late summer of 2012, Christ the Servant will be welcoming our first Seminary Intern! We're looking forward to sharing a year of ministry with our Intern - whomever she or he might be.

Interns are third year Seminary students, who spend the year working within congregations and communities. The Intern comes as a gift to the Church - bringing excitement and fresh enthusiasm to the congregation even as the Intern learns from experiences with the local congregation.

Who is God even now preparing to join us? We're looking forward to meeting him or her and welcoming them among us!

Administrative Assistant

A longtime member of Christ the Servant, Christy has been serving as our Administrative Assistant since September 2010. She is the welcoming face and voice of the congregation - producing our publications, tending our calendars, and fielding a host of daily questions and requests. With a heart for service, Christy also tends many of the behind the scene work that allows worship and our committees to succeed.

A proud Cal Lutheran grad, Christy is also the mother of two excellent children and spouse of one Chemistry Professor.

Youth MinisterMs. Vanessa Unti

Youth Minister

Vanessa comes to us with a rich heritage of great youth ministry in her home congregation as well as wide experiences within the broader Church. Growing up as a “Pastor’s kid” at St. Matthew’s Lutheran in Renton, Vanessa was deeply involved in youth ministry throughout her school years - growing from participating to planning and leading events - in and outside of the Church.

Vanessa brings an excitement about faith in Christ that is contagious. She is looking forward to building ties of faith and service all across our congregation!

Oberlanders

Custodians

Jim and Cindy Oberlander have a long history of working together. These High School sweethearts from Yakima served for years as part of the Staff at Central Lutheran, sharing that service at CTS since 2008.

Jim and Cindy care for the facilities - and the people - that allow us to be the Church in this place.
