Joyful Sounds

 

What awesome singers we have in this group.  I give thanks to God for the gift of music, and for the Joyful Sounds singers who give back to God through their gift of music.

  Joyful Sounds begins at 5:00pm and ends at 5:45.  We will be doing a lot of singing games and music activities designed to encourage in-tune singing, steady beat and other age appropriate music skills. 

Some Frequently asked questions about Joyful Sounds:

• Why does Laurie use such a little-high voice?   This is to help children sing in their own range which is much higher and lighter than most grown ups, as a result of their small vocal cords.
• Does the Joyful Sounds group sing during church?  There are times that Joyful Sounds singers sing during services; usually the Christmas Eve 5:30 service and sometimes around Easter, and also with the Treble Choir occasionally.  This really depends on the group of children and their interest.
• Can friends join Joyful Sounds?  Absolutely!  Friends are most welcome to join Joyful Sounds, invite them now!  Know someone who is older?  Treble Choir is for 2nd through 8th grade treble singers and meets at 5:00pm.
